Obituary for CARL HAROLD REIN:

"Death of C. Harold Rein

C. Harold Rein, of Lakewood, who died at the W.C.A. Hospital after a rather long illness on Monday, was a wonderfully important part of the retail furniture business of Jamestown for many years. In most all of those years he was associated with his brother, A. Rheu Rein, in the Field & Wright Company, but a little over six years ago they both retired from that company and joined in the formation of Cornell & Reins.

Both brothers have been held in the highest esteem as retail merchants and furniture men throughout this area. Harold Rein was called into service in the retail division of the Chamber of Commerce and in the Chamber itself to serve on the boards and as an officer.

With all his concern for the operation of important businesses and in mercantile groups, Mr. Rein found time to serve his community in civic and public affairs. He was one of those highly regarded business men who entered politics to serve on the Jamestown City Council at one time and gave generously of his time and energy to this important work. His long attention to church and civic affairs contributed richly to the development of this community.

Mr. Rein was a notable member of a family which has taken part in the growth and progress of the Jamestown area for many years."
