He married LOMA GARLAND SCOTT 27 Sep 1924 in Knightstown, Indiana, daughter of JESSE SCOTT and CLARA LAUDENBACH. She was born 04 Dec 1896 in Knightstown, Indiana, and died 22 Sep 1980 in Falls Church, Virginia.

"...Rein received his early education at Lottsville High School, Lottsville, Pa., and graduated from the Hoff Business College in Warren, Pa., and from the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago where he had taught a Bible class and held street meetings and religious services in missions and hospitals.

He received his AB degree from the University of Minnesota and spent summers at Yellowstone National Park conducting religious services for tourists.
