Classic BBQ Beef

| 1 1/2 lbs. boneless beef chuck roast |
| 1 1/2 cups Coca Cola Classic |
| 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce |
| 2 T instant beef bouillon granules |
| 2 T apple cider vinegar |
| 4 cloves garlic, minced |
| 1/2 t chili powder |
| 2 t dry mustard |
| 1/2 ground red pepper |
| 2 medium onions, chopped |
| 4 T butter |
| 1 cup ketchup |

For cooking liquid, combine Coke, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, garlic, bouillon granules, mustard, chili powder and red pepper. Reserve 1 cup cooking liquid for sauce. Trim excess fat from meat. Cut meat to fit into crockpot. Place onions and meat in crockpot. Pour remaining cooking liquid over meat; cover and cook 10-12 hours on low or 5-6 hours on high heat. Combine 1 cup reserved liquid, ketchup and butter. Heat through. Transfer meat to cutting board. Shred. Combine meat and sauce. Serve. |
