BBQ Pork Ribs

| 2 slabs boneless country style pork ribs |
| Rub: |
| 4 T cumin |
| 2 T chili powder |
| 3 t cardamom |
| 3 t cayenne |
| 3 t cinnamon |
| 2 T dry mustard |
| 2 T coarse salt |
| Sauce: |
| 4 cups onions |
| 2 cups ketchup |
| 4 cups brown sugar |
| 1 T celery seed |
| 3 cups bourbon |
| 2 cups tomato paste |
| 1 bulb garlic (chopped) |
| 1 cup cider vinegar |
| 1 cup apple juice |
| 2 cups Dijon mustard (whole grain) |
| 2 cups water |
| 2 T cumin |
| 1 cup Worcestershire sauce |

Combine rub ingredients in bowl and when mixed, rub onto ribs. Place ribs in ziplock bags and refrigerate overnight. Broil, turning meat, until evenly browned. Place ribs in crockpot. In a separate bowl, sauce ingredients. Add onions and pour over ribs in crockpot. Cook on high for 4 to 5 hours or low for 8 to 10 hours. |
