Obituary for Guy N. Trudgeon:

Guy N. Trudgeon, 78, of 1011 East Lincoln Ave., Sunnyside, died at his home early Wednesday evening following an extended illness.

Guy Trudgeon was born at Charlevoix, Michigan. When he was very young he, with his parents and family, moved to Kansas and Colorado where he spent his early years and was educated. With his grandparents, he later moved to Florida and worked in the Everglades. Moving west to Oregon, he met Miss Tiney Carver and they were married March 21, 1926, at Redmond, Oregon. They lived in Idaho and Washington then moved to Sunnyside in 1950. He continued working as an electrician until he retired in 1957. He was a longtime member of the Church of God, having been active in the construction of many churches in the Northwest.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Tiney C. Trudgeon of Sunnyside; three daughters, Mrs. Dean (Joyce) Whitney of Grandview, Mrs. Mary Logerstedt of Kirkland, and Mrs. Lloyd (Eila) Whelchel of Pullman; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandsons. He is also survived by four brothers, Rennel Trudgeon of Sunnyside, Chester Trudgeon of Jefferson, Oregon, Archie Trudgeon of San Bruno, California, and Roy Trudgeon of Salem, Oregon, four sisters, Mrs. Helen Haven of Albany, Oregon, Mrs. Violet Thomas of Tacoma, Mrs. Ruth Bethel of Salem, Oregon, Mrs. Pearl Moses of Boise, Idaho, and a large number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 15, in the Chapel of the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, with Rev. Stanley R. White of the Church of God officiating. Burial will be in a Sunnyside cemetery.
