Aunt Bertha's Fresca Salad

 

1 3 oz. package lemon or lime Jello,

dissolved in 1 cup boiling water

8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 t vanilla
1 t sugar
9 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
10 oz. Fresca (or 7-Up)
1/2 cup nuts

Beat Fresca with softened cream cheese using an electric mixer.  Stir in remaining ingredients and chill until firm.
